Forest Impact

Founded by Manuela Madonia and Charlie Cabell, Forest Impact is on a mission to bring nature back to the places where it’s needed most. Through the Miyawaki method, we create dense, native forests across Portugal, transforming under-utilized and abandoned spaces into thriving ecosystems that support biodiversity, strengthen climate resilience, and bring communities closer to nature.
With a background in communications, Manuela turned her focus to forest creation, driven by a desire to take meaningful action against climate change and protect biodiversity. Charlie, an entrepreneur and nature enthusiast, saw an opportunity to put his skills to work for something bigger than himself: a healthier planet.
Together, they believe that forests can do more than restore ecosystems. They can bring people together, inspire collective action, and reconnect us with the natural world. By rewilding both urban and rural spaces through community-driven forest planting, Forest Impact is helping create greener, more resilient places where nature and people can thrive side by side.
