Arbor Day Foundation (ADF) has long championed the transformative power of trees to improve lives and strengthen communities. As one of the world’s largest nonprofit conservation organizations dedicated to tree planting, ADF shares SUGi’s deep commitment to restoring ecosystems and creating greener, more sustainable environments.
Together, ADF and SUGi are growing a global movement — one forest at a time. Through a diverse portfolio of urban and rural restoration projects, the partnership emphasizes environmental education, community empowerment, and biodiversity enrichment. Each forest stands as a living legacy of our collective responsibility to steward the planet for future generations.

Green Schools
Planted between August 2020 and January 2021, these 50 school forests - now all self-sustaining - have proven to be a tremendous success, promoting both biodiversity and environmental education.
The large-scale initiative has been widely praised for not only enhancing local biodiversity but also for its role in promoting environmental awareness among the community, inspiring future generations to engage with and protect the natural world.

Maruvan
Planted in November 2020 as part of the Luni River Basin restoration in Rajasthan, Maruvan has quickly developed into a thriving, self-sustaining ecosystem that mirrors the region’s natural guilds. The transformation is striking - indigenous plants like acacia, ber, and babul are flourishing in the harsh desert climate. By blending art, traditional wisdom, design, and ecology, this initiative has brought about a new equilibrium - a resilient, dynamic ecosystem that heals the land and creates a nurturing space for future generations to learn and thrive.

ITI Osmanpura
Planted in April 2021, this forest has transformed a barren, degraded plot into a lush, green haven, significantly boosting local biodiversity in the area. The success of this forest has been widely praised for its positive impact on the local ecosystem, creating a vibrant, wildlife-friendly space that continues to flourish and attract even more species. The forest has also played a key role in connecting students to Nature, offering them hands-on learning experiences and fostering a deeper understanding of environmental conservation. conservation.

Masina Healing Forest
This transformative initiative is bringing a vibrant green canopy to the grounds of Masina Hospital. At its core, the project serves a dual purpose: to promote environmental sustainability and to cultivate a calming, therapeutic atmosphere for patients, staff, and visitors alike. By weaving nature into the fabric of healthcare, we're not only contributing to a healthier planet - but also enhancing the healing experience within Masina Hospital.

School Forest Gardens
These thriving food forests have taken root across three CEUs, forming the foundation of an environmental education initiative. Over the course of six months, this program provided teacher training designed to empower educators and school administrators in embracing sustainable practices. These living classrooms serve as immersive, open-air learning environments, encouraging hands-on interaction with nature. More than just a teaching tool, the forests foster deeper understanding of the native Atlantic Forest, local biodiversity, microclimates, and the vital ecosystems beneath our feet.

WEEE · Park Forest
In the bustling and dynamic city of Hong Kong, an exciting and visionary project has taken shape to create a pocket forest within an e-waste recycling facility. The implementation of the Miyawaki Method is at the heart of the project; an approach that is particularly well-suited for urban environments like Hong Kong.

Renewal Forest
We have planted this pocket forest in Castle Green Recreation Ground in Dagenham - a community hub used for sports, dog walking, and other recreational activities. The 600 trees, including hawthorn and oak, will improve the air quality by acting as Nature’s air purifiers; capturing harmful pollutants and removing greenhouse gasses from the atmosphere.
