We are hiring: Operations & Impact Director
SUGi is a global platform fully dedicated to biodiversity building, ecosystem restoration and reconnecting people to Nature through the creation of ultra-dense, biodiverse forests of native species primarily in urban areas. With almost 200 pocket forests planted in 42 cities on 6 continents, we have reconnected 50,000 youth & community members to Nature.
Role Profile Overview:
In this role you will be responsible for the effective and successful management of productivity across all SUGi initiatives, staff and impact measurements for our fast-growing business. You will provide key support to the Founder/CEO and work closely with the operations and strategy teams.
Role Profile Responsibilities:
- Manage & oversee the full project life cycle of all existing and new SUGi Pocket Forests which includes (but not limited to) the creation of new projects, manage data collection for annual impact report, oversee general documentation with impact team.
- Strategically manage priorities for the operations department, evaluating importance of opportunities and determining specific next steps.
- Mentor and guide your individual team members on our most complex projects and help them achieve their individual goals.
- Act as a direct point of contact for all internal operations questions related to the impact projects.
- Guide the day-to-day operations of projects and regularly assess the
progress of impact. - Act as a strong sparring partner to the Founder/CEO of SUGi to convert strategy into reality.
- Secure resource deployment across projects on a global scale for timely delivery on deadlines.
- Coordinate all community engagement activities in collaboration with
the creative team.
Your Profile
- 10 or more years of relevant experience (change management, project management or operations)
- Very strong strategic, analytical, problem solving, critical thinking and decision-making skills.
- Demonstrate facilitation and excellent project management skills to effectively align key stakeholders and ensure timely execution of project deliverables.
- Independent self-starter with the ability to handle multiple priorities and produce successful results in a fast paced and complex environment.
- Ability to take an effective risk-based approach by assessing risks, cost, benefits, etc. to solve business challenges.
- Experienced in working in a small and agile organization.
- Passionate about impact management and process management.
- Proficient in establishing operational excellence in a complex project-driven work environment.
- Excellent communicator and comfortable managing multiple tasks.
- High detail-oriented and rigor work manner.
- Ability to work on-site in London at least 3 times a week.
