πΊπΈ Rodarte Community Forest planting
18th October 2025
Join us in planting the SUGi Pocket Forest in Greeley, Colorado, USA.

This project will create a pocket forest woven into and around the existing community garden at the Rodarte Center, a neighborhood hub in Greeley that serves as a cultural, recreational, and educational space for families and residents. Like urban acupuncture, this small intervention aims to bring broad ecological, educational, and social benefits to the surrounding area and local community.
The Rodarte Center currently hosts a gardening program with 12 beds. Our vision builds on this foundation - creating space to explore agroforestry and syntropic agriculture, encouraging a shift from conventional gardening to more regenerative, nature-based approaches. The space will support outdoor learning, giving children a place to play, grow, and connect with nature in a holistic, hands-on way.
By introducing berry-producing and underrepresented plants, we can also enhance local biodiversity, providing food sources and habitat, whilst offering unique learning opportunities.
